You can't change the world, but you can change the way you see it.
Goddess Sedna's meaning: The world is my inner mirror
Do you sometimes feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?
Yes, there is a lot of chaos, suffering, and simply negative things in the world. But it doesn't help to complain about it or fall into pity (instead of compassion), nor to take on shame or guilt because of it. All of these reactions only serve to amplify what already exists.
Sedna is the Inuit sea goddess associated with protection (of nature and animals) and a deep sense of responsibility. She reminds you that your personal world is always a reflection of what you choose to see in it.
This isn't about everyone and everything being like you—or about blaming yourself for all the misfortunes or negative events out there. No, it's about recognizing that everything exists in this world, but that it's your personal responsibility to decide which of those things you give your power to.
Do you let yourself be overwhelmed by negative news or give certain things power over you? Whether it's fear driving you or the urge to fight against certain things, both reactions make those things seem bigger than you.
That’s human, it happens to all of us. What Sedna offers you, though, is the reminder to consciously cultivate inner peace and stay well-connected to yourself. Then use your imagination: What kind of world do you want to help co-create? What are your positive and inspiring wishes for life on Earth—for animals, plants, and people?
You may be able to contribute more than you realize. By allowing your vision to become clearer and clearer, and by being willing to discover opportunities for transformation—even within seemingly negative or terrible things—you can help bring about change that benefits everyone.
