The Hawaiian goddess Pele in a modern style as art print<\/h2>\n
In Hawaiian mythology, the goddess Pele stands for fire and the power of volcanoes, meaning destruction and creation at the same time. The fire of the volcanoes destroys, but it can also be the basis for something completely new to be born.<\/p>\n
Perhaps you are familiar with these contrasts in your own life: Sometimes something breaks away and you might be sad about it at first, but it was actually good just the way it came about. Something new wanted to start and that was only possible by ending the old first.<\/p>\n
In my painting Pele & The Bird, I show Pele's power to destroy and at the same time her healing energy, which is why the green elements were added with spray paint and the golden accents with gold paint. The painting should remind you that you can always reinvent yourself and that something new is born from the ashes.<\/p>\n
The painting is part of my series Mythology<\/a>in which I paint figures from ancient legends and myths in a modern setting. I do this deliberately because I want to remind you that there are superpowers in all of us and that the heroes, gods etc. are only a symbol of this. The old legends still live on - even in you! But we can interpret them in a modern way.<\/p>\nThis painting was created in several layers using spray paints, acrylic and oil paints. It has a \"3D effect\" with the gold accents reflecting in the light. You have the choice of ordering an art print on canvas or fine art paper. Of course, only the original painting has the unique light reflections due to the colors used. The print may differ in color from the original.<\/p>\n
