Tired of stereotypes about what is "typically" female and male - and what is not? On an energetic level (i.e. regardless of biological gender), it is often said that everyone has female and male parts within them. Everything that has more to do with action and assertiveness is seen as masculine and everything that has more to do with intuition and empathy is seen as feminine.
But what if you can choose at any moment whether you want to be more active in your life - or whether it's time to relax and wait and see? Unite all the parts of yourself, beyond a stamp of what others consider to be right for you.
"The alchemy of female and male" is an image from my Alchemy seriesin which I combine opposites and different states in one picture. For this picture, I chose a male and a female peacock because they are such a good example of animal species in which the males are somewhat more striking than the females. However, I think that both have a special elegance in their own way and that the "more colorful" one doesn't have to be the more beautiful one - both have their own special features and complement each other wonderfully.
The painting was created in several layers using collage techniques, textured paste and acrylic and oil paints. You have the choice of ordering the original painting (70×70 cm on canvas) or an art print (60×60 cm on canvas or 70×70 cm on fine art paper, to be printed after ordering). Of course, only the original painting has the unique radiance that the oil paints bring with them - and the unique structures can only be found in the original. The print may differ in color from the original.

Original painting or art print? You decide
Here you can see a direct comparison of an art print vs. the original, both on canvas. Elements made of a special material, such as textured paste or gold leaf, can of course look different and less vivid in the art print. The canvases of the art prints contain a small amount of polyester and are therefore harder than "real" art canvases. However, the other finishes are very similar to the original.
All canvases have either an enclosed metal hanger (the art prints) or a picture wire attached by me (originals) so that the pictures can easily be hung directly on a nail on the wall.
The fine art prints on paper come unframed, as it is my experience that the taste for picture frames is very individual and they should match the interior. However, if you would like to receive your fine art paper print framed, please contact me instead of booking here via the store. Then I can give you the prices for already framed pictures and order them manually according to your wishes.
