What if what you've been looking for all this time is already right under your nose?
"The Seeker" is no. 3 of 4 archetype supplementary works to my Alchemy seriesin which I combine opposites and different states in a single image. While alchemy is generally about changing inner states and gaining a new perspective on things, the 4 archetypes describe the way you can move through your life.
The seeker is accompanied by a dragonfly, which stands for the fact that we are really only ever looking for a version of ourselves that will reveal itself when we are ready to really leave the old behind us (transformation).
The painting is done in many layers with collage, spray paint, acrylics and oils.
