Identity - shift (mixed media oil painting)

The key is your identity: depending on how you see yourself, your life will take a completely different course. It’s not about different things happening to you, but rather about this question: what meaning do you give to those things?

As someone who made their own life a living hell for years—even though, from the outside, it all looked so good—I know this: in every moment, we have access to different identities. Am I, right now, someone who constantly has bad luck and only sees everything that hasn’t worked out in my life so far? Or do I see all the successes and moments of happiness I’ve already experienced—and the ones still to come?

ou can find “evidence” for both sides. The real question is: which side do you choose? That’s exactly what the two cranes represent—they are different identities, each giving you a completely different experience of life.

The piece was created in multiple layers using spray paint, texture paste, oil paints, and gold paint.
